price changing help

I have an old Dixie Narco soda machine and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the price.  I do not have the model number although I can get if need be.  I know on most machines, you take the coin mech off and the switches are back there to change the price.  However on this machine there is nothing back there and I have no clue where else to look.  Thanks in advance for your help

If your coin mech doesn't have price switches inside it then your machine has a logic board and digital credit display and the price changing is done in the programming.  You will have to have the model number of the machine and any designation from the logic board such as SII or SIID, so we can help you with this.  If you like you can call me at 602-696-2826 and I can help you with this.

Does your machine have digital display on the front of the machine to show the amount of credit?

If not it is likely a single price machine there will be a set of switches inside the coin mech.

#1=. 05

#2=. 10

#3=. 20

#4 =.40

#5 =.80

#6 =1.60

Turn on the switches that add up to the price you want.

.50 =24

.75 =1234

1.25 =145

That is what is confusing to me.  I'm assuming it's because it's so old it's a different set up.  It is a single priced machine, but as I stated, when I take the coin box off, there are no switches of any kind back there.  I have two other machines that work like the one you are describing in your post

You need to look behind the coin acceptor or flight deck.

Get the make and model of the coin mech.

I am lost with this machine.  Hopefully this will help you help me lol.  The model is: DNCB 368/216-8.  Hope this isn't greek to you as it is to me lol

I recognize the machine but the model of coin mech is more important.  You have already said this is a single price machine, so the price setting is in your coin mech.  The switches are behind the acceptor in the top of the coin mech.  You need to move the plastic tabs in the top front corners of the coin mech which will free the acceptor allowing it to tilt down toward you.  Behind the acceptor is the pricing block. You might also see an Options block of switches, but you won't deal with them.  As mentioned before, on the pricing block the left switch is .05 and as you move to the right the switches double in value.  If you wanted a .50 price, you would turn on switch 2 (doubles in value from switch 1 to .10) and switch 4 (.40) to equal .50.  Turn on the switches that add up to the price you want to vend at then put the coin mech back together.  Test the machine and confirm the price is correct.

I hate to jump in here but this doesn't appear to be getting any where.

Single price soda machines usually have the "logic" contained in the coin mech - there are no buttons behind the coin mech but there are "dip switches" behind the upper section of the coin mech called the acceptor.  In the top left and right hand corners of the coin mech are two levers which allow the acceptor to be removed so you can access the dip switches.  Walt gave you the typical run down of each switches value.  Eg. if you want to price the machine at 75 cents, you'd turn on #1,2,3 and 4.

If this still does not work,  please give these guys the model of the coin mech (not the machine) and I'm sure they'll know the dip switch pattern.
