What to put into a laundormat with limited space

I have a laundromat location with limited space. I've been selling toys out of a 1800 triple and gumballs out of a spiral, and have been doing about $70/month between the two. I think there's more money to be had in this location. My problem is there isn't room for a rack or anything big. Do you think a small crane or something could do well in a place like this?

Don't buy a NEW amusement for this space.

A used small crane for a good price would be PERFECT.

Then with the money you save buying something used instead of new, you can buy a small 4-way or 5-way rack.

Swap the triple with the rack.

Either rack will  take up about the same floor space as the 1-800 triple, but it will provide you with better use of the space.

Driving game definitely wouldn't fit. I have about 30"x24" to work with. The Chicken would fit very well, but it's pretty expensive. $1500+ for a bulk machine in a location that may not sell that much is a big risk. I'm looking for something cheaper. Plus, it's going right next to the door in an unattended laundromat. Without some kind of way to anchor the Chicken, somebody could just pick it up and walk away with it.

If they are legal or even "sorta" legal that would be a great machine to have.

I agree, I think it would be a great machine for the space available and the location. However, I contacted my state gaming board and found out that only traveling carnivals can use them in my state and even then they may only have tokens in them, no cash of any sort.

I would put in a quad bulk rack or a compact 5-head bulk rack. I also agree with havending about not putting in equipment at an unattended coin laundry.

I normally would advise against vending in an unattended laundry.

But, given that you area already vending in there with a 1-800 I can't see what the problem is with making the most of your space.

Of course, I'm assuming there have been no vandalism/theft issues.

This laundromat is one of a chain of three laundromats that the owner has in the area. One is attended, the other two are not. I have equipment at all three. The attended one has a 10-way and I never have problems with vandalism. The second is unattended and also has a 10-way. I have not yet had a problem with vandalism, but the previous route owner had two vandalisms in 2 years, both were pretty minor. The money the place generates is certainly worth the small amount of vandalism. The third place, the one I started this thread for, is also unattended. So far it has experienced no vandalism, not even by the previous route owner.

Overall, I would feel pretty safe putting a crane in the first and third locations; maybe not the second one.
