beejaykc aka Munch A Bunch Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I am installing a snack machine in a hotel. They have a "gift shop", but quite frankly isn't open much and variety leaves a little to be desired. I've agreed to NOT compete on price - which is good news for me. My machine is right in the walking path for customers going to the indoor water park, the laundry room, the arcade, as well as the outdoor pool. I want to add some items not available in the "gift shop" or elsewhere on the property. What's the best place to get over the counter medication (aspirin, etc.)? Sam's doesn't seem to have it. Other ideas? THX

They also carry these items, albeit at a higher price point.
beejaykc aka Munch A Bunch Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 I will double check my Sam's. But I know different locations carry different stuff. They're kinda finicky that way. Example: Some carry 20z bottles of soda. My primary location does not. Boo!

Poplady1 Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I think you might be talking about hotel sundry items. Here is a link which might help. http://www.vendwize.com/sundry-items.php These items will come in different types of packaging for vending machines. If you only have one snack machine in a hotel with these items I suggest you order what you need and put the extra in the bottom of the machine. That way when you service you can just restock sundry items from the bottom of the machine and you don't need to carry the stuff around with you. Also these items do sell well.
beejaykc aka Munch A Bunch Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 2 days in. $30 in sales day 1. $34 in sales day 2. 30% credit card. Everything (just snacks - no sundry) in the machine (40-select) is $1.50. Doing well. Will update again in a week - but if this bad boy does $30 a day - I should be retiring shortly. LOL
