Patrick Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I am new to vending machines. Own a laundromat and just purchased a used wittern 3500. The machine is super clean and everything works great with the exception of when I push vend number 10. The screen says make another selection and nothing happens. I dont know where to begin trouble shooting this. Thank you
Technivend Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 First thing I would suggest is going into the service mode and pressing button 2 on the front of the machine. This will reset your motors and give you a motor count.
Vendors Tech Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 After that, try swapping the tray that has the bad selection with another one that you know works, see if the problem follows the tray, or stays on the same row. Then let us know what happens.
AZVendor Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 If you go into the service mode by pressing the mode button on the control board and then press selection button 2 you will see the number of enabled motors in the machine. The number should be 10, but might be 9 due to your error. If you see 10 motors, and then close the door and it still won't vend the selection, then you need to go back into the service mode and press selection button 8 for test vend. Now press the non-working selection on the keypad and if the motor is good it will run one cycle. If the motor still won't run you need to check the motor harness connector down under the column. If that is fine you might have a bad motor. The only way to confirm this is to plug the bad motor into another selection's harness connection to see if when you try to buy that other selection, the suspect motor will run. If it still won't run then you need a new motor. You may PM me for a new motor if you need one as I have these in stock.
