Rick
I personally hate these machines, but at a little over 18 bucks a head - you could do a lot worse than this. http://wichita.craigslist.org/bfs/4066961456.html Sorry, I was too lazy to look for the CL deals thread. Hopefully somebody finds this helpful.

Jeremybnb
I've had one of my double beavers on location for 4 years with no problems vending gumballs and 1.1 caps. I think they are great!

Rick
I might have to drive to Wichita to pick these up! And generally speaking you can talk people down from asking price. Re: why I don't like Beavers, no rational reason. I just really prefer Northwestern's - find them not as quirky as Beavers.
PowerVendor
Beaver, quirky? I spend more time fixing jammed NWs than i ever have with beavers. I have a 6-way NW rack i'd give you in a second. It is cursed, somehow. I walk out the door and it jams...... Those chrome crumb trays at the bottom of the beaver machines really due stink, especially if you have big hands. They are impossible to get the key in there. I finally ditched all the bases which had the crumb. They're kind of stupid, supposed to catch candy but they are perforated so that most of the small stuff hits the floor anyway.
sherlock
Putting displays in those round globes sucks. Plenty of vendors talk about the Beaver superior reliability. But, frankly, I've never had issues with NW or Oak when it comes to reliability. My route consists of all of these brands and nothing stands out about the Beaver from a quality standpoint to make them worth the extra expense or the hassle of round globes. NW and Oak has proven to be just as reliable day in and day out. Nice deal in that ad though.

I have nothing in particular against Beaver - I just find Northwestern's to be comparable quality and easier to work with. But that's strictly a personal flavor thing. If you are doing just gumballs and candy it really doesn't matter. I would buy them all. Besides that Beaver is easily the best made machine. Their chrome and mechs are the best in the business. The chrome lids will look better over years then any machine out their , no paint chipping. Don't take this wrong I sold off all my beaver racks and favor Northwestern over all. vendamania
I forgot another good quality of beaver which is the chrome hopper, far superior then any on the market. It stays clean and doesn't chip paint like the rest. Doesn't get as greasy as the rest neither...Really cleans up well , great for candy. Beavers are very expensive that is the main reason most operators don't use them , but if you can buy them used for a good price , no brainer. Again I prefer Northwestern.
