Robcamaro
Can someone give me a quick run down on how to remove a t-handle from royal soda machine. Are there screws on the inside holding it? Mine is not closing the door all the way. It seems like something broke or came loose between the handle and the threaded part. I thought I would remove it and take a look but I dont know how. Thank.
AZVendor
If the handle feels like it's skipping as the door gets tighter, then your handle is rounded off on the inside and needs to be replaced. If, instead, the tighter it gets the closer the T-handle gets to the door before it gets stuck on the door while you still need to turn it more, then there is a broken retaining clip on the inside of the assy. If you look at the threaded stud with the inner door seperated from the outer door, you will see a retaining ring holding back a spring. Remove the retaining ring and then the spring will come off and you can pull the whole assy. out of the flange. You should then see, looking from the T-handle end, the handle, a retaining ring, the internal spring, perhaps the brass star washer if it came out of the flange (the star washer usually stays in the end of the flange) then the threaded stud that's held in by a slip pin. If the internal retaining ring came off the stud, you will need to replace it. Once they lose their tension they are done for.
Robcamaro
Yes I think it must be the retaining ring. As I tighten, the handle does get so close to the door. Thanks!!
