CJvending
Anyone ever use acetone to remove the front lens of a vendstar in order to reglue it? Obviously if one were to do this they would rinse it and put it through the dishwasher but would this work? Or would it ruin the plastic?
CJvending
Anyone have any tips on this? I don't want my front lids to break off while servicing
HotOiler3
I would use diesel fuel or WD-40 on any sensitive plastic parts to loosen adhesive, I did read on here that someone else suggested using baby oil to remove stickers from machines might try that too, gasoline might be a bit more harsh but I think it would be alright, I myself would be scared to try acetone as it is designed, marketed and intended as a paint stripper, but I've used diesel fuel to remove crude oil from the paint of semi trucks for years with no ill effects to the paint or plastic "chrome" plated parts. rodney69
Any time you use acetone or any petroleum product on plastic your asking for trouble. There it's a glue separator that you can buy from glue manufactures, but for labels, only use goo gone or similar. All the other stuff will possibly damage it. also, when using a dishwasher, turn off the heat.
