navigator
Does anyone have opinions/experience with older Seaga two head bulk machines? The six of them look pretty nice, but would have to get them as part of a deal with 24 rough Easy Vend/Ultra Vend machies (both brown and grey). The deal comes to $10 per machine, all with stands. Are they worth it? Thanks.
Action Vending
yes because you could resell them for more on ebay.
GagesVending
That is quite possibly the ugliest machine I have ever seen! That's enough of a reason for me that I wouldn't buy them.
handysnack
The machines are dated and would be very tough to find parts for but for $10 why not use them on some underperforming but solid locations? Besides, I think those or at lease the ultravends are bolted to a plate mounted to the top of the stand, if anything when the machine is dead you might salvage a decent stand. I'd personally go for it.
ajdistro
That thing is hideous. I would def buy it. Put it in a hipster bar.

Rick
"Underperforming but solid locations" Please give an example? Just curious I'll let handysnack speak for himself regarding the quoted words, but a location I think this would be ideal for is a little hole in the wall biker bar. I wouldn't be afraid of vending some salted nuts out of this piece of crap like I would a 1-800 or Triple Play. Fill that sucker with Hot Tamales and salted peanuts and you're making $50-$60 a month in the right dive bar.

Fill that sucker with Hot Tamales and salted peanuts and you're making $50-$60 a month in the right dive bar. I was thinking along those lines. I wouldnt be afraid of losing the machine so it could go anywhere. As well I base my bottom line location as having to pay for itself in a year or less, if you buy the machine and pay 10, fill it for 20, even pay to place it for 30 then you only paid $60 for a location installed more or less (label, gas, time). so if you net say 70% you would have to gross $7 a month to achieve that goal. With that little volume you could service it quarterly. If you have a cluster of locations it makes sense. Thats my preference, $7 is really poor for a location but if it makes sense then it's not bad in my opinion. I'll drive an extra half mile quarterly for $15 at this point.
