amc-vending
Is anyone changing out their mechs from .50 to .75 per vend ? if so how is that working out ?
mainor5251
I tried it once in a busy Mexican restaurant, did not work out. Swapped it to .50 and does way better now. Im fine with the margin at .50 so not gonna try it again unless price of products absolutely necessitate it.
havending
Is anyone changing out their mechs from .50 to .75 per vend ? if so how is that working out ? No need plenty of money in flat. Plus it's trendy you want to sell it fast as possible

I m happy with the margins also - but have seen a few machines that had .75 mechs in them and the rack I just purchased on location a few days ago,one of the .50 mechs had failed so he replaced it with a .75 mech. I have already ordered a new .50 mech to replace it with. Was just wondering if it was the new trend that I didnt know about.

Do your flat machines not use sliding coin mechs like those made by Greenwald or ESD? If so, you can experiment with higher or lower price-points using the same mechs -- just add/remove blockers and price-labels accordingly.

sprint54fan
I have a guy here in a couple of my locations selling some columns in his sticker machines for 75 cents and its funny cause when he services the 50 cent ones are changed but the 75 cent selections are the SAME stickers/tattoos... so Im sure hes just selling a buttload of them! shepherdsflock
When flats die out they die hard I actually went the opposite direction price-wise on one of my columns. I have a mystery mix column I changed down to 25 cents to try to move old flat product. It's working. I'm not selling a ton of the mystery mix, but at least I'm starting to get rid of some of my old stuff.

I still have ten or so cases of their stuff. I have not ordered from them in three years.
havending
Flat runs short cycles and requires a lot of rotation. If you just have a few machines it will kill you. Good thing about flat is its cheap and ships cheap. We put slow flat in eggs cap and product less than a dime.
Tbuford
I've never tried .75 flat, but do have a few for .25 to move junk. I still have collected about 25 boxes of junk that died over the years. I guess I need to cap some of it. I still have old New Kids on the Block and INSYNC stickers from back in the day. That trendy stuff does die hard and fast. I bought about 12 boxes on One Direction and form the left over pieces I have a little less than a box left. I'll be poutting it out soon to see.
