dkochan Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I have an opportunity to purchase used 42" and 36" Rainbow cranes with bill validators. What is a good a price for these cranes? The guy who is selling them is asking $800. What are the pros and cons of Rainbow cranes?
dogcow Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 800 is a very good price if they are working these are some of the most reliable cranes on the market.
mainor5251 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 He has 17 so if you can get them all I would offer $500 a unit
musser Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 What type of validator and board? A crane with a mars stacker and a board with adjustable claw power is worth more than a crane with a coinco validator with no stacker and a non adjustable board, I wouldn't give over a. $100 for the latter. depending on condition $500 to $800 for the former. There are a lot of rainbows on the market, they are big and heavy, a lot of locations would not have room for the. 42".

dkochan Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 I'll be checking out these cranes tomorrow. I'll find out if the DBA'$ have stackers and if the boards have adjustable claw power.
musser Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 rainbows are great cranes hope they are good cranes and you can get them
havending Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I'll be checking out these cranes tomorrow. I'll find out if the DBA'$ have stackers and if the boards have adjustable claw power. Come up to the auction. In march it's in Gatlinburg much closer for you and I.
dkochan Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 I met with the guy who owns the cranes. He is a nice guy and is willing to owner finance the cranes. I verified that the claw strength is ajustable and and the DBV's accept the new $5 bills. This guy is also willing to let me store the cranes at his warehouse so I can load them from there to place them at locations instead of me moving all the cranes to a warehouse. I will make him an offer tomorrow. This guy also has about 25 4-column CEI and A&A sticker machines for sale at $100 per unit. He has coin-operated scales available, too. I guess I've got lucky.

musser Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 That sounds like it could be a very good deal!! Rainbows are great cranes buy they too can occasionally break. Ask the guy if he would be willing to help walk you through some trouble shooting when the time comes. I bet he would and that would be golden.
dogcow Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 wow amazing deal id snap it up in a heartbeat, especially the financing that is amazing
