mainor5251
Got a location the other day, indoor jump house inside a mall and owner wants a crane. The most important issue to him was a win every time. So with that in mind and after getting some advice already I figured a smart double up was the way to go. However after not being able to locate a used one I price a new one $2249 + freight. I was able to locate a used toy taxi double play, I believe it could be had for $1000 and its only 8 hrs away round trip. I heard from numerous members say smart imports are the way to go but wanted to know if the feeling was the same giving these numbers.

musser
A crane for $2200 that will work vs a crane for $1000 that everyone says be careful of. I guess it needs to be written out. $2200 is an investment $1000 is at best a gamble with really poor odds. Do you have $1000 to throw away? I guess after seeing where knowledgeable members like billnuts still ordering taxis new and others that just saying they are second to smart imports but with no reasons leave me with doubts. Especially when it comes to spending $2249 for a crane + $250 for freight + $150-300 for a bill accptor + tax. I have about a week and a half before I have to pull the trigger one way or the other and want to be a little more diligent this time around. I am leaning towards the smart brand new from betson but want to be sure im not spending unnecessarily.
musser
New toy taxis yes but the problem with the used ones is as many have said: you need to know which of the several versions c2c had sold over the years you are dealing with and if it is a good one. I like the folks at c2c but they had some pretty bad cranes at times in the past.
