Vendo 720 16.9 pop & 16.9 water settings, I'm getting mixed setup guides?

Long story short(er), I have a Vendo720... Was setup for 20oz bottles, no shims, tested & works fine..... I have a few different items I want to vend but getting totally different setups from different sources on a few of the items... Can anyone confirm or at least deny any of these settings?

Truth is I have searched, maybe a little too well as I'm coming up with so many answers... I'm going with whatever you guys say is right! I won't be able to put this machine on location till April and do not want to buy 20 cases of inventory yet & it's very cold here!

I called Vendo and they gave me different setup instructions over the phone than the downloadable setup guides on their website....

I have a bunch of 1122032 & a few of the 1078872 shims I ordered... Also A, B, & C (black, white & gray) clips...

A.) 16.9oz pop, 112203 in location #2, 1 white clip on gage bar #1, in location slot #2

B.) 16.9oz Aquafina (feels hard like pop bottle, not squishy), 112203 in location #2, 1 gray clip on gage bar #1, in location slot #2..... One version of setup was using shim 1078872, but when I tried to install shim, it was very difficult and once in place, bucket came around and hit the bottom of the shim, reversed and did it again, sits to low even in highest slot...

C.) 16oz Monster or Rock Star can, 1122032 in location #1, 1 gray clip on gage bar #1, in location slot #2

D.) 20oz Gadorade, no shim, 1 gray clip on gage bar #1, in location slot #1

E.) 12oz can pop, I have labeled on the door and found on Vendo site to be the same... I'm good on this one!

  • For your 16.9 oz Coke products you need the grey clip in pos. 1 with the gage bar in pos. 2.
  • Your 16.9 oz Aquafina will be the same as the 16.9 oz Coke.
  • The 16 oz Monster should use one grey clip in pos 1 with the gage bar in pos 2.
  • Gatorade is no shims and the grey clip in pos 1 and gage bar in pos. 1.

I think the 1022032 and the 1078872 are the same shims.  Perhaps one part number is older.  But with you having the column jam with 1078872 it sounds like it's different than 1122032.  Could you post photos of them both side by side?  There is a secondary position for the side shims and perhaps you had 1078872 set in the lower position.  Move it to the high hole in the front of the stack and set the rear spear on top of the rear stack instead of in the hole in the rear stack.

AZ-... I see what you mean now, with putting the rear tab on top instead of in the cutout.... Inside my door of the pop machine it gives the chart,... Only water bottles has this shim 1078872..... If you look at the photo in comparison of the screen shot I took of a water bottle setup, in the drawing (& my door) it shows the shim much thicker off the right walk than it actually is!...

The back tab wouldn't even go into the cutout in the back, I bent it toward the right wall about 1/4" and was certain to put it in the top most location "#2" in the front.... The one int the photo had not been altered.... Noticed them stacked in too of one another, the end with the clip hole is perfectly aligned... Notice how far the rear tabs are off!?!?

If you've had luck using 1122032,... I'll use it and forget these!

Here is a screen shot right from Vendo,... Diagram inside my door pretty much the same...

The shim with the flat face is for 16.0 oz bottles, not for 16.9 oz and it's rear spear must sit on top of the rear of the stack panel and not in the hole in that panel.  Then the front will probably come through the top hole of the two holes in the front stack panel.  For the 16.9 oz Aqua Fina you want to use the 1122032 shim as you do for the soda bottles.

  • 2 years later...

I also have a Vendo 720 and am converting over to 16.9oz pop bottles (a mix of Pepsi, Coke, Dr Pepper)

Here is what I was going to use.  Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

A.) 16.9oz Pepsi...side spacer 1122032 in location #2...1 grey clip in position #1....gage bar location slot #2...back spacer 18

B.) 16.9oz Coke...side spacer 1122032 in location #2...1 grey clip in position #1....gage bar location slot #2...back spacer 16 or 17

C.) 16.9oz Dr Pepper...side spacer 1122032 in location #2...1 grey clip in position #1....gage bar location slot #2...back spacer 16 or 17

D) 16oz Monster can, side spacer 1122032 in location #2...1 grey clip in position #1....gage bar location slot #2

E) 20oz Gadorade...no side spacer...1 grey clip in position #1, gage bar location slot #1

Thanks in advance!
