TKK Posted June 20, 2014 Share Posted June 20, 2014 So i get a call today that people are getting 16.9 cokes half full. I went and sure enough 6 were sealed yet missing anywhere from 50 to 90% of the soda. The employees werent lying as i opened the machine and 2 were like that. Is it the heat? I stocked it amd noticed most werent screwed on tight like half a turn more to the tightest setting. Did it to all of them as tight as possible. Anyone have these problems? What i dont get is if they became loose on the caps why r they still sealed and bloated like w gas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AZVendor Posted June 20, 2014 Share Posted June 20, 2014 The bottler quality control is not always great and this does happen with bottles. You should be able to return them for credit. I used to watch for this when filling machines and if I had any syrup on the case of bottles I would check the caps on the whole case. The bottles will stay firm because the cap isn't loose enough for all the gas to escape and then when the bottle gets cold the cap loses it's seal and there you go.
