CoinCo Mag50B problem

I just installed a Mag50B which was refurbished in 2012 .  The unit was not put into service until today.

 

I'm using the mag50b in conjunction with a Coinco 9302GX in a Vendo 570 machine.  Everything works fine on .50 selections.  Two selections are set to $2.00.  The validator accepts 2 dollar bills but upon pushing either of the $2.00 selections, the validator pushes out 1 of the bills.  Any suggestions and/or advice greatly appreciated.

First of all.. are there enough coins in the mech? Do the quarters dispense? Do the selections work when change-only is used? Do the selections work when a bill with change are used? What kind of machine is it? Will these products work with a test vend?

All coin tubes are full.  Quarters dispense properly. Been using this machine without a bill validator for a while.  All selections have been functioning properly without the validator, although, I did not specifically try using quarters only after installing validator.  Also, did not try bill/change combination.  Machine is a Vendo570.  Product dispenses via test vend.

You should verify that the prices are actually set to $2.00, then turn the machine off and dump all the coins out of the coin mech.  Now install the mech and turn the machine on and scroll to the COIN menu.  This menu item will allow you to fill the coin mech by dropping coins through the top inlet chute of the mech so the machine can count the coins into inventory.  This will ensure the machine knows it has enough of the proper coin denominations to allow a higher priced vend.  If you still have the issue with two bills then you can try turning on the Force Vend item in the OPT menu (select button 1 will toggle Y or N) or the Allow Overpay item in the OPT2 menu (select button 2 will toggle Y or N).
