After troubleshooting it for about an 1 hr I determined the compressor was short cycling. I have never seen a machine with so many moving parts except the Crane Nation Grand Gourmet. LOL

This guy inherited it when he bought the laundry mat. The previous owner told him not to sell it because he wanted it back. So he is giving it back and buying a AP 113 from me. Yea

I told him it would be nothing but a headache and to replace the compressor would be expensive because I would have to do it by the hour. Plastic plastic everywhere. cords belts motors.. $7000 new...... You can get a brand new AMS for $4,000.............. I have a bridge to sell.....

Good deal on the sale of the 113, Roger.  That machine is either a POS Wurlitzer or a POS Jofemar machine.  I'm leaning toward Jofemar as it doesn't look like any Wurlitzer I've seen and it has the front air grill in the door (oh, so classy) that Jofemar is famous for.  I'm surprised it is called a Vision vendor since that is a name used by Royal.

This machine is a Jofemar Vision MultiSeller manufactured by Jofemar in Spain...

There is a member on here called VendingTech305 who repairs them but I am not sure which part of the USA he is based in. I would guess he is near Florida because that is where JofemarUSA headquarters are located.

He should be able to help you out with troubleshooting if you were looking at fixing the machine for your customer.

I am surprised they replacing their Jofemar with a AP113 as the Jofemar is a combo machine where the AP113 will only do snacks. I am also surprised that many people have never seen them in the USA as they are used a lot by Human Healthy Vending.

He already has a USI 12 select CB 700? No need for a combo at this location. AP 113 fits very nice in the spot being vacated. I did however tell him for $50 I will move it to a place of his choosing. ;D   I have no interest in learning how it works. JUNK  I see this as being something I would have to work on way to much and since I feel for my customers I can't in good mind choose to sink him in debt only to pad my pocket. I sleep very well at night. He did tell me he needed an extra key that had to come from Spain and it would take 3 mo plus shipping.....

It make sense to me now mate why a AP113 would be a perfect fit..

Also... I wish there were more people in vending that shared your philosophy on vending repairs... There are to many people out there that would only be too happy to screw customers when it comes to fixing machines.

I would just like to say before someone accuses "VendingTech305" of being a employee of Jofemar that I was the person who contacted him about trouble shooting this repair.

I know I have spoken to him about the Jofemar Machines before so he was the only person I could think of that would have the experience on these machines if someone was looking at repairing one.

Not to worry, Kiwi.  It's always good to have someone on the forum who is familiar with certain machines and can give help with them, whether they are factory reps or independent repair techs.

He guys, man the cooling unit is easy to replace or repair....

Just cause ur not familiar with

Something doesn't deem it a POS...

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit harsh about the Jofemar machines.  You have to understand that something that is not available, or well supported, poorly designed, unneeded, or just downright unfamiliar will quite often be tagged as a POS.  Unfortunately Jofemar might fall into some of those categories.  The machines are not readily found outside of the east coast, or maybe even Florida.  The company has been unable to make inroads into the traditional full line vending community and due to this there is very little known about the company.

If the machines aren't plentiful to the point that various techs in various places in the country can't get their hands on them to understand them or to actually be able to repair them, then that nomenclature will sometimes be applied.  While the term POS may not apply to this machine, though it does to the now-totally unsupported Wurlitzers, I've always been puzzled by Jofemar's entry into the US market several years ago.  Jofemar still seems to have no significant presence and with new machine purchases at lower numbers than any of us long-time veterans can remember, they won't be achieving a real presence in this country anytime soon.

I am appreciative of your knowledge and experience with these machines and it's good to have you as a member of the community.  I'm sure there will be other Jofemar questions someday that will need to be answered by an experienced Jofemar tech, so please stick around.  I apologize and will refrain from more name calling.

We all get spoiled working on certain machines and think some are the best and better than others. I can't in good conscience tho recommend a vendor to a person who has never been in vending a vendor that is complicated.   On this particular machine while removing deck I noticed missing pieces, broken plastic pieces and the cable that raises and lowers the elevator was frayed. It didn't look to be very old maybe a couple of years at best. What I saw was something that was a nickel and dime here and there. It doesn't matter if it can be fixed. What matters is can I get parts and at what cost. If I have to buy a 10 dollar part that is going to cost me $30 and then have to spend hrs on the phone and wait for the slow boat from china then it isn't cost effective for me nor my customer.

I pride myself for minimal down time and that is appreciated by the customer. I remember back in the day VW was a good car but if you didn't live in the city there was nobody to work on them and parts were hard to get. Second I do not want to sit on hold waiting. If you are dealing with AP, National or Dixie Narco parts are available at a good price.

I will apologize for calling it Junk.  Moving parts wear out... You find less and less moving parts for that reason....

That thing looks like a soaps machine

There's a distributor who only moves them to laundry mats. mainly as soap vendors but also as combos, or food. he moves around 800-1000 machines a year.. i know, cause i have traveled for the company before to train owner operators..  they are called vendrite..

Guys Im not Butt hurt cause we called it a POS.. just upset that people are quick to call things POS's when they just dont know or undertsand something,

Jofemar's phone support team is good to my knowledge? but then again, i just drop in and harress the crap out of them LOl... so what do i know lol

...  Parts are available readily.Except for keys which need to be ordered since its like a MEDCO but for Europe . yes a few dollars more expensive but not that bad....  I drive a Porsche, and when my porsche brakes down, i dont call joe blow or go to advance auto parts.....i go to a specialist or a dealer.  The prob. with jofemar is that they dont have too many specialist or dealers LMAOOOOOOOO.... but still a great machine...specially for outside the box vending... I NEVER use or recommend a jofemar for chips and snacks...... thats like buying a Porsche to deliver pizzas....... u need to sell something with a greater profit margin.. something like the toys, pantyhose, medical MMJ etc etc.. They will continue to be a good behind the scenes company.... trust me they move about 2-3000 machines a year...its only a matter of time before you start noticing them... here one in florida.

.. i can find about 1,000 youtube vids with jofemar machines, however u wont know they are Jofemars...

anyhow.... i wish i would have seen this post sooner to help out Rmorris.. i to pride myself in having almost no down time for my clients..... But i wont move mountains...  if we need to wait, then the client needs to understand,,,

Those Jofemar coffee machines are fantastic! Just love the coffee that comes out of these things! Same with the new Kikko machines!

Hi Chris,

Which one would you say makes the best coffee out of the Jofemar or Kikko?

I didn't realize you were using Jofemar coffee machines. I thought you were mainly using Cafection models?

I do not have any Jofemar machines. I sampled some coffee from a Jofemar coffee machine at NAMA ONE show 2 years ago....boy  OH boy was that coffee ever good!

I use cafection and crane and a few kikkos, in fact I just finished installing 2 gallerias this week with the bean hopper on top. Love the fresh ground coffee! Just love it!

I think those Jofemar machines come out of Florida. They make some nice stuff!

Just because everyone is buying it doesn't make it the best. Everyone was buying VHS back in the day and Beta had VHS beat hands down..

Pantyhose.... LOL Our women out here don't wear them anymore....  :o  :o

I might be able to sell ropes and handcuffs tho. Or bailing wire and pliers..

Spain does make quality products in general, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this type of machine to new vendors on this forum. Local dealers don't carry parts, techs don't work on them, and they're expensive. I wouldn't use a combo, as I have first hand experience with foreign made combos, and struggling to find parts for them and get them to work.

I'd stick with AP, National, etc, as they have better capacity, parts, and tech support. Not being able to pickup a compressor at the dealer is impractical and would be problematic for someone trying to run a business.

Where would you be able to find canned lingerie for the beverage section??? There could be a niche for that, lol.?.

After the careful brain siphoning that I had done, you had to go and mention that infernal machine again. DO NOT WANT!

Grand Gourmet? KHAAAAAAAAN!

Hahahaha!  I have never heard of a Grand Gourmet but you reminded me of the .gif's all over the internet.  Is the Grand Gourmet pretty bad?

It had its day.... It was a good coldfood when new.. Huge Vendor for coldfoods... It worked really good but with all the moving parts like belts gears elevator etc it wore out and to fix it there was a door in the back. Its foot print was probably as a coke glassfront or bigger. And as heavy as a full coke glass front. I wouldn't want to work on 1 today just because there maybe no parts. I haven't seen one in 20 years...
