BMash
I have an old Rowe I need to upgrade to take the newer bills. I was going to buy one of the kits from Capital Vending, but I wanted to know if it was worth it to spring for the whole control board replacement kit, or if just doing the module upgrade is enough and will be reliable at a location with heavy use. mjacks
Are you sure you need to replace parts on the machine itself or can you just update the DBA to accept the newest bills? I haven't run into the problem so I am not sure.
zapjones
I believe that Rowe's are upgraded at the cpu with a chip replacement but don't quote me. I currently have one rowe that has the capital vending upgrade to a mars bill acceptor. It has worked fine so far but for whatever reason the meter doesn't count the quarters. Don't know if that's a side effect or it just isn't programmed correctly.
Walta
What you need to do depends on what model machine you are working with. Walta

BMash
so just the mounting/module kit?
Walta
The kit you are looking for will have 1 A wire harness that connects to the 3 test buttons. 2 A tiny circuit board with a chip on the board. 3 A set of plugs that fit the new Mars BA 4 Mounting hardware. You will need a Mars BA that are often sold separately. Changing to LED lamp is a great idea. There was a kit to make a BC35 into a BC3500 but I did not thing it was a good deal.
