CajunCandy
Confused on Royal 650 I purchased machine from individual working, he had it plugged in when I got there. I started by running money in coin mech. took money, then I tried dollars in Mars dba, took dollars no problem, he did tell me the sensor for temp control was bad and needed to be changed. We agreed on a price, loaded up machine on it side on trailer, then he proceeded to give me all parts he had laying on floor in his shop, as he getting out of the vending business. Lucky me! Get home unload machine, waited two days, go back to get into board to start changing some of the depths and prices in machine, when I press mode button "blue button" it goes straight to "pass" or password. It should not go there first. When I do enter 4231 and hold three to enter nothing happen. one to five is the bottom row of buttons? Any ideas. The board is a refurbish board, sticker on board say "vendors exchange"

CajunCandy
With my Merlins, the four is the enter button so the password is 4231 and then 4 to enter. 2 scrolls up and 3 scrolls down. On the inner door in black marksalot, it has 4231 and hold #3 to enter. I will try it with the forth button later today. Thanks moondog!
Golfdogs
On the 650, buttons 1&2 scroll up and down and the third button is enter. I've never had password come up when I hit the mode button. Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Walta
If the machine has Coke software the buttons have different functions than the generic machines. Walt

Walta
Boards are replaces often without regard to the software version. Walta
jbrice
Sounds like the machine has been locked with Royal's pc software. In order to use this software you will need a serial connection from pc to the control board (Intermec 236-194-001). Another problem you may face unless you have an older pc, is lack of serial port. We have an older laptop we use to program these machines, most modern computers no longer have serial ports. Your best bet may be to contact royal directly. Tell them you bought this used and someone programmed a password lock using the pc software. They may be able to tell you how to do a factory reset. rmorris1953
Use to be able to program Vendo's and D/N with a palm pilot. Palms are obsolete now but the program could also be put on a hand held. Just plug into the dex. Made it real easy to program timers on Vendo. Came in real handy if you had several machines that needed setup the same way.
