Thoughts on this machine?

Recommended Posts

Those are crappy mechanical throw-away machines that we always steer people away from.  They have tiny capacity, are poorly constructed and are never supported.  The refrigeration systems are horrible with freon leaks being common.  When the freon leaks inside the wall of the machine you have to junk the cabinet.  The coin mechs are cheap plastic and easily defeated as well as difficult to set to new prices if you don't have parts for that.  The bill changer is also junk with a crappy imported bill acceptor and a less than reliable solenoid payout.

These machines are targeted to people at business opportunity shows (biz ops) where unsuspecting newbies are subjected to high pressure sales tactics causing them to spend upwards of $3-4000 per machine with the promises of riches.  When the biz op company fails to produce the promised great locations per the purchase agreement or when the locations provided are substandard (and they all are), or the biz op company flat out disappears, the newbies will eventually resort to selling the machines for much less than they paid for them.  Some will try to get their investment back in a sale on Craigslist but they never do and end up selling for about the price you see.

AZVendor,

Thanks again! You're the man! I suspected that was the case but wanted to check with the Experts here!

Now another one for you. This one has 12 vending machines for $900. I am more interested in the soda machines than the hand crank snack machines but would consider them (if they are worth the investment) because I can see situations where they could be worth taking a look at. Thoughts?

The Coke machine is an old, obsolete Vendo that you don't want to mess with.  The giveaway is the L-handle that locks the door, the long and short selection buttons and the aftermarket added bill acceptor which, to make it worse, is an obsolete Coinco CBA unit.  The 7 up machine is a newer single price Vendo, probably a V407 and is worth about $400 if it works and cools, but you should low ball them and see what happens.  I would still stay away from the mechanical snacks.  They aren't any better than what's in the first ad you posted and because they will sit on a counter, they can be turned upside down to steal snacks from, or they can be outright picked up and stolen.  You really don't want to mess with any location that you think those machines are the right size for because those types of locations will be much too small to make money in.

Heck, the car is worth the money!

That is a much better deal than the machines.

LimitlessVending, just keep looking some thing will come along and when you do post here for the other vendors and techs to give their opium on machines.

I promise, you will be much better off.

Dang Mike you and U think alike. I was also interested in the car...

The Coke vendor scrap price $100 for cooling deck if it cools. $50 for coin mech $50 scrap on cabinet across scales = $200

Same thing for 7up vendor.. Nothing for bill validator.. BA30 and its all taped up. The motors might be worth keeping if they are the black cam.

Those turn knobs are plastic and have no value

I hate those 7up vendors. Trying to work on them with all the electronics on the left side of the door really sucks.
