Gambler
I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger and purchasing my first machines. I found a person that is/was getting rid of all their equipment (small coin-op gaming facility in the middle of no where terrible location). I might go this weekend and pick up the Snack Attack machine, but was wondering if there was/is anything else on this list that stood out as a great buy? I'd like to start small, was actually looking at picking up an arcade game or two for the garage, but after doing some research kinda started to like the idea of the Snack Attack machines, and adding in some other claw/crane games. Walta
Take a look at the posts on this form. 1% of the posts are about pure amusement machines where the player receives no reward other than the joy of a high score. The other 99% of the posts are about the few machines that have any earnings at all. The smart phone has totally killed the market for paid amusement. The revenue from cranes and redemption are on a glide path to zero. If your interest is for your personal entertainment there has never been a better time to buy equipment. If you dream is to turn a profit with an arcade. Consider it squashed sorry. Walta
hanihotdog
Walta, why would you say cranes are in a glide path to zero? They are cruising steady for us.
Gs Vending
Yeah, cranes will never die, nor will other amusement redemption games. As long as people enjoy the feeling of winning, these machines will continue to thrive.
Gambler
We debated a regular arcade for a while, but came to the same conclusion. That said, the crane games, be they for plush/candy/balls along with the chicken machines seem to be consistent from a casual observer. How many cranes do you operate and what locations are they in where they are declining for you Walta?
superior games
Walta maybe you should reevaluate your product in your cranes. Gambler, your logic is solid but what's the condition of these pieces? Buy the cranes if they are in clean working condition, the time crisis 2 and the sports arena are good buys if they are working. The NASCAR DX is a great buy if it's the newer version by global vr. Good luck
