ezvend Posted March 4, 2015 Share Posted March 4, 2015 I have a shoppertron cold food machine which I need to install a card reader, mdb mech, and validator. The current validator is a mars vn2511 u3 which accepts pnly $1 bills. The coin mech is trc-6000. I bought the board to validator mdb harness, and the latest eprom. I need to get a validator that takes larger bills, and a coin mech which pays out dollar coins, but am not sure what to go with. Any suggestions? AZVendor Posted March 6, 2015 Share Posted March 6, 2015 With those upgrade parts you're making the machine MDB but you will probably find that even with taking 5's in a newer validator you probably won't need any more than one quarter tube, so a three tube mech should be sufficient. Your validator will have to be 24v due to the MDB interface so any late model VN2512 or Coinco MAG32SA will work for you. The Mars is the easiest to fit in that narrow coin compartment.
