EatMoreJunk
When the condenser fan is on the machine seems louder than normal. The fan is spinning clear, no rubbing against anything....the motor just seems to be roaring. Any advice?

Not a refrigeration expert but, those fans all have internal bearings - sounds like your's are shot. Be prepared to swap it out.
AZVendor
That would be caused by a worn out condensing fan motor. The bearings will be what makes that loud noise. There isn't anything to do to correct it other than replacing the motor as they use sealed bearings. I can send you a new one if you'd like. EatMoreJunk
Thanks guys. Randy, how much is the motor? How difficult to replace?
AZVendor
The motor is $42 and it's easy to replace after you pull the base of the cooling unit out. This is the motor if yours is a round one. If you have a square motor then it will be a little more. Let me know which one it is and I'll confirm pricing.
EatMoreJunk
Assuming the motor is the unit sitting between the fan and the rear of the machine, it's round, not square. Sorry, I'm not real sharp on Dixie's.
AZVendor
The round motor is standard unless your machine was built in the last 5 year or so when they changed manufacturers of their cooling units. PM me your shipping info and I'll get one to you.
