I dont have the sponge pads in the drain pain and its about 3/4 full of water will it hurt not having them or is it okay for it to just overflow? thanks again. It can rust out the bottom of your machine. A somewhat important question (less important if the machine is outside) is how quickly does the drain pan fill up? You might have an air leak. It's not a major problem necessarily but it can make your compressor work harder than it should have to. If you have an air leak and you fix it, you will reduce the water accumulation.
