Jimoutside
How are Dixie Narco drink machines? I see one available locally for $650, says it's in 100% working order, and has bill validator. Model 368. It looks decent in the picture.
AZVendor
That is a good price for a refurbished machine with rebuilt coin mech and validator. I sell the same for $700. If it's not as I described then the price is too high, depending on supply and demand in your market. Just make sure it doesn't have a metal validator. orsd
Keep in mind that rebuilt units have warranty, rebuilt bill and coin mechs, good paint, new or like new graphics, crystal clear buttons, and is ready to go immediately. Typically a machine that has some wear (Craigslist special) goes for 2-400 in Socal (the market here is glutted with good used stuff though). These may have some dings, dents, dust, old stickers, yellowed select buttons, grime, some minor missing parts (trim delivery door etc). Typically you would need to hose these down pull the reefer deck and blow the dust dirt and leaves out of it, inspect the coin mech, touch up the paint, scape any old tape and stickers off, lube and clean the motors and brakes(often these will get gunked up and cause misvends), sometime replace one or two motors (home use units will often have one column busted that they didn't bother to fix), lube hinges, wax the paint, and wipe the plastic down with some cleaner, replace power cord, delivery door, install decals replace worn, broken and missing parts, polish coin insert, etc.

moondog
http://www.infomine.com/investment/metal-prices/crude-oil/1-year/ Yep, Still a big glut of machines around here due to the recession - we still have two empty warehouses for each one that's occupied.
