RJT
Yes, pretty typical. They are wanting to try the "new" stuff etc and in general people like to try anything new, new machine, new, snack, etc. You then will see it do an "average" overall every week. Some weeks will be slightly higher than others and depending on what the account is this can be based on when people are getting paid. Because people like trying new stuff is one of the main reasons I advocate switching products up and rotating what you carry week to week. One of the main complaints I hear besides service is selection. I might carry one brand of plain potato chips this week and next week carry a different brand. I will run certain candies for a while then change them up but keeping the main staple sellers in stock. I have accounts that are within $10 average week to week. One week $120 next week $128, next week $130, next week $126, etc.
Anacapa Vending
Yep. Especially if they never had vending machines before at given location. Sales will also fluctuate with weather, coffee and snacks are better during cold and rain. Drinks are better when its hot.
PHX1
Anyone notice when you get a new account sales a great then fall down to an average account? Is this a normal? I remember when I got one of my first schools, the first couple weeks were killer because all the kids thought a Bevmax 4 was the coolest thing to watch . still ended up being a good account though!
