diprivanrn
I am a total newbie here- I purchased a machine as a novelty for my shop, but wouldn't mind making money on it. I want to offer customers a cheap beverage (only 100% markup-aka $0.50-0.75/can) while they come on by and shop. I have a dixie narco 276 machine that I bought used about 2 years ago on ebay. Had a problem with cooling-fixed that, got pricing set up- I go to test the stacks up and I have bottle vendors in stack 4,5, and 6. I want to vend cans instead to keep things simple and to have the best shelf life. When I test these, it requires two pushes of the number 4 button to get one vend= same thing with coin operated function- 2 coin operated vends equals one product. From the looks of things the oscillator will only allow for the dump of a single product. It is an oscillator that looks like a 3/8 moon instead of a beater. I have a shimless stack 90 I believe. I have the spacers pulled forward in the 4,5, and 6 to make sure the single cans hit the sold out trip switch. Am I doing wrong by having the spacers pulled forward for a single can in the column, or should I push them back? There is a cover with the labels on it for the stacks- I assume that this covers the cams. I cannot find how to undo this to adjust the cams. I don't know what to do with them, but I can figure out that switches need to be actuated to start/stop the motors. Anyway, any guidance would be helpful, since I cannot find a youtube video on the subject. Thanks in advance... Paul
AZVendor
Unplug the machine before you do this. You remove the motor cover by pulling the bottom of it out slightly then lifting the top edge off of two posts that it hooks onto. On the columns that don't work right, find the red or grey plastic cams on the front of each motor. You will currently only see one notch formed in the edge of the cam. You'll see that there is a front and rear cam there and the front is adjustable. Loosen the screw in the face of the front cam and adjust it so that you see two notches in the edge of the cams. You might have to remove the screw so the front cam can adjust to a proper position. When you reinstall the screw don't strip it out. Now move your rear spacers back to a point that allows two can into the columns and still causes the front can to hold the sold out paddle down. One finger of space between the depressed paddle and the front can is needed.
