nationalvending0652
Hi my name is brian, i live western ny and manage a few vending machines. I joined this forum because today when i went to fill a crane 167D, i get diagnostic code "food 2+3" with the 2 flashing, and "BOTH SW. 2+3." Any ideas on what i can do? Ive looked in the manual and nowhere listed is food 2+3. FOOD 1.2 AND 1.2.3 are listed but not FOOD 2+3 with the 2 flashing. I appreciate any help, and even unplugging it and plugging it back in, it is still temporarily out of service according to the display.
AZVendor
Is your machine a snack-only version or do you have any other module in the bottom of the cabinet for cans, cold food or frozen food? You may have your configuration code set wrong for the version of machine you have. If you have the Outdoor snack with the dual pane glass and a chilled cabinet with retractable vending door the error probably is telling you that the retractable door is both open and closed at the same time (Food 2+3 diagnostic code). This probably means that you either have the configuration set wrong, a bad retractable door switch or a bad logic board. And by the way, welcome to the forum. nationalvending0652
Thanks!! Actually i looked its FOOD 2.3 not FOOD 2+3 and on the online manual i don't see FOOD 2.3. Its just a snack machine. Its about 11 years old. The BOTH SW 2+3 comes on after the FOOD 2.3. This might possibly be something i screwed up in the programming. I was trying to change the prices, and it went to exact change, then to the food 2.3 and both sw 2+3. This machine isn't that old. Hopefully i can fix it. AZVendor
Check your configuration code. You must be in Supervisor mode so press the Code button and enter 0000 as the code. If the factory code hasn't been changed then you will see UNLOCKED. If you can't access the Supervisor mode then you will need to do a Ram Clear to default the board back to factory settings. Once you get into Supervisor mode then press the Product Config. button. You will see whatever configuration your machine is currently set for. You want to change that configuration to CNF.0 SNACK by pressing the EDIT key. Once you have this in the display then exit out of the service mode and see if the errors go away and the machine operates properly.
