Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to vending. I've been lurking around the internet doing research and trying to get some info. Stumbled upon this forum and here I am...

A little about myself:

I'm 22 and currently serving in the US Navy. I'm in Lemoore,CA for about 11 more months. Then I'll be getting out of the Navy and moving back home to Ohio.

What I expect to get/learn from the forums:

I expect to be able to learn from everyone. I know almost nothing about vending haha. I want to get into bulk candy vending/ soda machine...and possibly ATMs. I also want to learn about what bank accounts are the best for someone starting out in the business, and what mistakes I should stay away from.

Basically I got a mile of questions, but just wanted to introduce myself now.

P.S. One last thing, I'd love to have someone mentor me. Preferably from either some where close to me currently in CA or someone close to mason/Cincinnati area in Ohio. I want a  mentor so I have someone to learn from, one on one, and preferably get shown the ropes a little bit before I start out.

Thanks for taking your time to read guys, look forward to hearing from everyone,

Jon.

Hello and Welcome,

My main office is in ,NY

However, we have refurbished machines in ,CA. I'd be happy to speak with you and answer any questions you might have.

Its no trouble at all. Ive sold equipment to veterans and army bases. We've actually sold a couple for ships/subs!  ^-^

What ship were on on, if any?

Sincerely,

Shawn “Skip” DeLuca

The best mentoring you can get for free now and before you get into vending is this forum.  Simply invest your time into reading the various forums and keep up on it daily.  You'll learn a lot more than you think just from that.

I will be sure to get ahold of you when I'm actually ready to go ahead and start up, right now I'm still in the lurking and learning stage. I don't plan on actually getting anything start here in CA. I'll wait until I get back to Ohio. I'm currently not attached to any ship, I'm in a squadron. I work on airplane, the electrical equipment on them.

I've been doing that, but I also don't want to just spam/post every time I have a question. I would rather have someone to talk to, that wouldn't require me posting. I don't like getting my post count up without being able to contribute to the forums. I don't have knowledge to contribute.

The questions you ask will be beneficial to other new guys later.

And who gives a crap about post counts anyway??

I guess you're right. and I didn't so much mean pay count, guess I should have said just spam on the forums. I don't know haha it sounded better in my head before i typed it.

Really, don't worry about it, I've asked a thousand questions on here in addition to reading a crap ton of the old posts lol.  Just be sure to search for things before you post, otherwise you'll have an angry RJT after you ;D
