Help with GIII Royal Vendors

Recommended Posts

I just bought a GIII Royal Vendors Cola Cola Soda Machine. I am trying to find a part, but I cannot find it anywhere. I need the Main Wiring Harness because the compressor is not getting power. The manual says it is part number 842596. Can anyone tell me where I can find this?

Also, I cannot find the Mode Switch on the control board. According to the schematic it looks like something is missing. I attached a picture.

The mode button is the blue button, top left on the picture you posted.

Pm AZvendor, he can get you a main wiring harness for the machine.

So how did you determine the main wire harness is the problem?

I thought that blue button was it, but it does nothing like my dixie Narco does. Also, there is no display on the outside screen unless I shake the wire going into it then it scrolls a code that I can't find a meaning for. It is SOFE 67131-5. I know there is a short or something going on there, but why does that code pop up and the button not respond?

I tested the main wiring harness with a multimeter and there was no power going to the compressor. I'm a girl and I know a little about these machines, but I am no expert. So any help is greatly appreciated.

How much is the wiring harness and how can I order it?

The compressor only runs after the door has been closed for 1-3 minutes. The numbers you are seeing on your display is the software version of your logic board.  Shaking the wire to the display could mean you have a bad display or the harness is loose at the display board or on the logic board.  Check all connectors to your logic board and then see if it programs properly.  If not then you might have a bad logic board.

I understand that the compressor may not kick on with the door open, but shouldn't there still be power being output from the main wiring harness. As I said before, I tested it with a multimeter and the output to the compressor shows no power.

Which is logic board, the control board?

Yes the logic board is the control board.

Control board controls power to compressor by a relay switch down below by wiring harness.

So hold in door switch long enough for compressor to actually kick on, or fan to run for compressor.

Then you will know if it works or not.

If the only thing not working is the compressor then you may only need to replace the refrigeration relay.  There is normally a pair of unused outputs from the relay that you can put the compressor wires onto to see if that fixes the issue.  You might be better off having a vending tech come look at the machine since you are unsure of what's going on with it.

Ok, I have replaced the refrigeration relay and that did not help the compressor. I would love to have a tech look at it for me, but, unfortunately, there are none in my area. I have looked. The compressor is still not coming on, but I also have another issue. The mode button is unresponsive. The exterior screen just scrolls SOFt 67131-5. Why is the software version scrolling? I am left to my own devices on this so any help is greatly appreciated.
