PerformaVending
I have a USI 2038 5-wide snack unit, and I've got one selection that "lost" it's price. When I press the selection, the unit reads "0.00", but won't vend regardless of what you run through it. I've tried to change the price and reset things a few different times now, but I've exhausted my options at this point. Though the machine is slated to get replace by something a little more modern sometime this year, I like to think this one is still a relatively easy fix, and if I can get that column up and running again, that would be great. Any ideas as to what might be wrong here? Thanks in advance for any assistance!
rmorris1953
Is the motor count correct when going into menu? I would check tray harness for broken wires at plug. If no broken wire swap trays around and see if problem follows the tray. If it follows the tray you have a bad motor or bad harness. If it is a snack tray (5 selections) the harness has extra wires for more selections. you can disconnect the effected motor and use one of the other loose wires to change selection ID and see if motor will run. Example A0 would now be A1. Power down and check motor count. Then do a test vend I have also found on some vendors that don't have a service switch when letting the board time out it doesn't go through diagnostics so any changes in configurations haven't been saved. So power down vendor and wait a few seconds to power back up. If all checks out you most likely have a logic board going out.
AZVendor
I would put money on a bad motor, wire loose from the motor or broken wire to the shelf which is usually found where the shelf harness plugs into the cabinet.

Thank you both for directing me to the solution- I'll let you know how my repairs turn out!
PerformaVending
Found the bad wire in the back- must have mashed it at some point while I was loading it. Got it patched up, and for the moment at least it is working again! Thanks for the help guys!
