allprovending
I have switched over to vending cans on one of my DN 501e but it vends 3 drinks instead of 1. I do have the rod in the rotor cup, I have replaced the bottle shims with the can shims, and I have set the motor on the number 1 spot. Am I missing something? Do I need to do anything in the computer board?
AZVendor
The number 1 setting should give you three notches on the edge of the motor cam. If you don't see three notches and only see one notch then the proper setting is hole #4 (I can't remember). If the setting is correct and the motor simply isn't stopping when the motor switch falls into the notch then you could have a bad switch or the motor brake isn't stopping the motor properly. The switches are prone to failure because they get moisture in them which corrodes the contacts and then when the machine puts 5v dc through it the circuit isn't always made. Snickers
I have an issue on 3 of the narrow columns in a a 501E setup for cans. 1st can will not drop and the 2nd vend gives 2 the 3rd vend is correct. Shims are right, rods are right, backspacing and cam settings are also right. I’m really at a loss on what it could be at this point. The motor switches stop in the can valleys where they should. Are the rotors worn out ?
AZVendor
Check for excess play in the rotor. The D shaped hole that the motor shaft fits into in the front of the rotor can get rounded out and throw off the timing.
