laip51
Everything works well except won't take multiple dollars. Searching forum, I found reference to Snackshop 4000s having two switches to set escrow. I have an AP 6000 that only requires a button to be set on-off. I also read that the 4000 requires an aftermarket controller. I cannot find the switches if they are present. Also I don't know what the aftermarket controller is or where to get? My model is a Snackshop 4000 4500 D4005 with a Mars MC 5000. There is a no name unit mounted inside door that says Model 8000. Maybe controller? It does not have switches. There's always the obvious - you need to have at least one item priced at more than a dollar.
AZVendor
The AP 4000/5000 will not accept more than one bill unless your bill interface kit allows it. Those machines never had factory validators installed so any validator requires an interface kit. You would need to contact the interface manufacturer to see if multiple bills can be accepted. If you need to add an upgrade logic board I can send one that will convert the machine to MDB for which you'll need another coin mech and validator. laip51
The unit that I think is the aftermarket controller has no name but a logo looks like Utech. Googleing doesn't produce anything close. I bought the validator from you Randy so I am ahead on a proper validator. If you can help with a name of an aftermarket controller I will follow up on it and call. SCOTT1963
Are you sure it doesn't say "Lutech" they are still in business and still selling aftermarket kits
laip51
Scott1963: Thanks for the tip. Couldn't get through to Lutech but called dealer and was told there are 8 switches on the 8000 unit and can allow reception of 1 to 8 bills. Now all I have to do is find the switches. They are not obvious.
AZVendor
There will be a grey box somewhere on the sliding coin mech panel.
