Chard
What brands and models do you all use for Fluorescent replacement? We use some clean life models that are really nice, but I don't know where to buy them at a reasonable price.
lacanteen
D&S Vending is my go-to for LEDs, although I don't put LED lights in drink machines. The florescent lights I get from Happ, but again, I don't light a drink machine unless the customer requests it. http://na.suzohapp.com/ http://www.dsvendinginc.com/

Sir SnackAlot Vending
Hey guys, why is it that some vendors do not place lights in their drink machines? Cost savings? I have even seen some vendors that don't place lights in their snack machines, is that just a slack vendor? Or is there a good reason?

If snack machines aren't lit some customers think the machine isn't working. The lights in the drink machine don't serve much purpose and the bulbs are expensive. If a machine is outside the light is an insect magnet, especially in Louisiana.
allen watson
I noticed on VE website they show a "how to" video about their LED bulbs and replacing the starter with a LED starter. The bulbs I recently purchased from a different source instructed me to remove the old starter and not use one at all with the new LED bulb. I wonder why the difference? AZVendor
Different manufacturers require different setups for their bulb designs.
PHX1
D&S Vending is my go-to for LEDs, although I don't put LED lights in drink machines. The florescent lights I get from Happ, but again, I don't light a drink machine unless the customer requests it. http://na.suzohapp.com/ http://www.dsvendinginc.com/ Unlit drink machines sell less then lit ones. IMO you should only have the lights off to reduce vandalism. Also, when customers see a dark soda machine they automatically think its broken or not working. Hey guys, why is it that some vendors do not place lights in their drink machines? Cost savings? I have even seen some vendors that don't place lights in their snack machines, is that just a slack vendor? Or is there a good reason? Probably because its a hassle to keep all the tubes replaced. If you light your machines you typically will sell about 10% more from what I have found. Also, If I am calling on an account and any of lights are not working on the current vendors machines I will point this out to whoever I am talking to as a mistake by the current vendor. A lit up soda machine really stands out compared to a dark one. What I have done with most of my drink machines is I buy 2 roles of LED lights on amazon prime with a voltage adapter. Cost about 20 bucks with free shipping, and I have yet to have any stop working. They come with sticky tape on one side and you simply stick them around the perimeter of the door. They are much brighter then regular lights which makes my machines stand out more in offices or warehouses ect.
Rexlex
I had a good experience with Capital Vending with a LED last week. All I had to do is take the old fixture out and theirs plugged-in and affixed with sticky tape. Took me about 10 minutes. They seem to have a good selection. SCOTT1963
Vendors has tubes as well that have either sticky back or magnet back. 3 tubes with a driver. The LED starter with the bulbs is not a starter but a jumper and it also serves the purpose of keeping the old starter hole from being exposed.
