Hi folks, newbie here, still planning and thinking about how to get started. I've read through many of the advice for beginners threads so far. To begin with I was looking at soda stream usa(any opinions? Seems like a too good to be true "BizOp") and thinking of plopping down 11k for their starter package. I've talked to the guy, said he's located in Kansas City, which is right by relatives of mine, so I'm going to have my uncle eat lunch with him just to get a read on the person himself. Still, I'm very leery of spending that kind of money as a newbie, so I'm heeding the advice I've read here and am strongly considering buying two brand new nw60's to get started. I've already got several locations I'd like to try out, just gotta do the legwork to secure a spot. I'd very much like to have someone here take a personal interest in advising me on these decisions as I go. I'd try to compensate you.

Anyway, that's me, till next time, be safe out there.

Welcome to the forum!  Soda stream is a biz op and you will be wasting your money on it.  There is no way to get rich quick in vending of any kind and don't let anyone bamboozle you with fantastic numbers that don't mean anything to you as a new vendor.  I wouldn't even darken this guy's doorstep with a lunch visit.  There is no one on this forum that has ever mentioned that they do Soda Stream machines and believe me, we have more members here than any other vending forum in the world.  Just do a search for Soda Stream in the various forums here and you'll find that there is no place for it in vending.  You might be thinking that this means there is a wide open market for it and that every member here has missed this golden opportunity but please realize, Soda Stream had been around for a few years now but it hasn't caught on.  You should wonder why that is.  Biz ops that don't catch on means they aren't viable businesses.  This is primarily a retail product as you'll see when the Christmas gift ads come out again this year.  It's a gimmick that is best used in the home, not as the base for a business.

Welcome to TVF! The only soda stream I've ever heard of was the contraption I saw on an infomercial about making your own soda. I didn't realize it was a business opportunity.
