What do you value these at and how to change to cans

I have a vendo v511 with new dba and cc reader (eport) that I would like to know the value of.

Also, I have a snack shop 5000 with new dba and cc reader (eport) that I need to know the value of as well.

My real question here is about switching it over to cans. It is currently set up for some cans and some bottles. But I am thinking about changing it over to cans only. Can. Someone tell me how to do so?

Also, how do I set up the eports for cc reading?

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Do you have an account that wants cans only? I wouldn't switch anything over till you know what account it is going in and what they will require.

I am going to be switching this one out for a dn501t on location doing cans only. I think I will do some cans and some bottles (1 Gatorade bottle and 1 juice) as the have been asking for something other than soda in there. Then the plan is to find a new location for the dn501t.

You can email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom for the parts needed for the conversion to cans. It's pretty easy and if it's set up for bottles now you'll need a can shim and can clips for each column.

I forgot to say that if these two machines are new to you then you'll need to contact USA Technologies and open an account for the card readers in order to use them.

Please be aware most of the older USAT Eports operate on ATTs 2G network. ATT is in the process of shutting down the 2G network so it is likely that they will need to be replaced with newer Version units soon.

Did they replace the control board in the AP 5000? If not and they used a adaptor board, say NO THANK YOU and walk away.

These were professionally refurbished completely 7 months ago. I believe there was a new board put in the snack machine. Also the eports were placed in there 7 months ago as well, so they are brand new. Give me a rough ball park on wha it could pay, if you don't mind.

If you already own these then the value is what you paid for them. If you don't own them as you said then why don't you tell us what the asking prices are and we'll go from there. You can value the eports at $300 each and aftermarket boards go from $300 to $450.

If it was me I would not value them too high because I am pretty much brand loyal to Royal ;D . althoguh as AZ said the eports are 300 each unless they are running  a deal, boards are about 400.

That's what I thought. But when something seems to good to be true, well you know the rest. Just wanted to check that I didn't miss something.

Sounds like the snack machine is not really liked by everyone here, but for the price I am ok? Is the main reason that no one would really touch this machine for much money is because of parts availability and unreliability?

The AP5000 is very old and not what most vendors would upgrade to MDB capability.  Now that this is you have a decent working machine.  The motors are still available so you're probably in good shape.  Hopefully it has been painted and refronted in black.

You can put lip stick on a pig.

The machine is still only has 5 shelves.

Even with the paint job still looks like a refuge from the 1970s

It may not be easy to find homes for something that old fashion looking.

$800 is tempting thou.

I looked at the pic, it has an In-One board kit, which is good. The main problem with this machine is the coin chute doesn't always line up especially if the door isn't properly closed. You'll find coins behind the board and board cover whenever the machine acts up. I stopped updating these late last year as well as the 4000 (which is the 5-wide version of the same platform) because the shelf spacing can't handle the large LSS bags without using a lower capacity spiral so the bag leans back. I made a deflector plate out of old machine panels to take care of the coin problem.

As for the 511, I stopped sending these out 3 years ago because of reliability issues with bottles and DEX.

Yea I understand. I appreciate the input. If you believe it, these machines look way better than a couple other machines I have on location. I'm going for call centers and not to say they don't need high class machines but for now they are working and building up some steady income every month. But I know I have to start getting more up to date and newer machines.

The downside with newer snack machines is that they tend to be made progressively cheaper the newer they are.  That old AP 5000 (while a dinosaur) was built like a tank which you;ll discover as soon as you try moving it  ;D

You're thinking of an AP 500. The 5000 isn't very heavy. The 500 is a whole different level.
