laip51 Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Infrequent intermittent vend problem. Accepts dollar...registers dollar...no vend and display returns to 00. Insert another dollar and vends ok and returns to 00. No return of any change. Happens on different selections. I have searched the Forum but no similar complaints. AZVendor Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 This is probably related to the vend sensor or logic board. If the delivery chute sensor LED is always on then you need to replace the sensor. If the LED is always on and before replacing the sensor though, unplug the sensors from the logic board and see if the LED still stays on. If it does and the sensors are unplugged from the board then the logic board is bad. Another cause would be a premature vend detection. Tap on the delivery chute while watching the LED on the logic board. If the LED doesn't flash when you tap on the chute or the LED is always on then replace the chute sensor. laip51 Posted October 10, 2015 Author Share Posted October 10, 2015 Found the problem. Changed acceptor...no help. Coins worked ok. Finally found one column had a crushed can with swollen bottom. Removed and reloaded and all ok. Not familiar with any microorganism that produces gas at refrigerator temp. Can't explain the intermittent nature of working right most of the time, or how jam should affect other columns? Thanks to all for your suggestions.
