maestro489
Compressor is running and clicks off and on as I adjust the thermostat. Fan is running but drinks are warm and compressor is not cold to touch. Freon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
AZVendor
The compressor itself will never be cold unless it is not running. If the compressor does run with both fans running and your evaporator isn't frozen completely then you could have low freon or bad valves in the compressor. In that case, have it recharged. Also, if you turn the compressor off and you can hear is spin to a stop like it's free wheeling then the rotor is broken and the compressor is bad. wegroup
If the evaporator is frozen, what would that indicate? Thank-you.
CajunCandy
Either the fan for evaporator core is not working or the deck is low on freon. Unplug machine and let it defrost, with a piece of small paper in front of evap. core see if it sucks paper to it, if it does then either look for a leak in door or compressor is low on freon. cajun
AZVendor
An air leak such as from a bad inner door gasket, loose T-handle, missing delivery door or water standing in the cabinet that isn't draining can cause a frozen evaporator. Rule all of those out and you then need to recharge it.
