buyer214
Ok, i have a Rowe 648, displays "close all vend doors" won't do anything else. All doors are closed, all switches (the little ones that click when you open/close a door) are in the closed position. All switches seem to operate properly when tested (screen will display "close door A" or B etc I tried replacing the board, same problem.... I'm at a loss what to try next? AZVendor
You probably have a bad or stuck lockbar switch. It's located at the top of the door lockbar behind the white panel on the inside of the main door.
buyer214
I'll check that out, thanks!
buyer214
Changed the lockbar switch (above lockbar solenoid) the lockbar moving up and down opens/closes the switch properly...
buyer214
Ok, I found another switch, completely at the top, replaced that, problem solved. Now when I close machine, "sorry, out of service" when I open it again, no error messages??
AZVendor
Was it a brand new switch; exactly like the original? The actuator arm needs to be an exact match. Check that the switch is wired properly and that continuity runs through it correctly using an ohmmeter. If the switch doesn't work it will cause this because the logic board doesn't see it open at home. The first issue you had occurred because the board didn't see the switch close, or activate at all, so it assumed the doors were still unlocked. The error you have now probably means the board doesn't see the switch open again after the lockbar fires, so it puts the machine out of service. Also make sure that the lockbar solenoid is moving freely up and down with no drag. The plunger must move freely and if it doesn't then the solenoid may be bad. buyer214
The switch was replaced with a known good switch, i am sure about the wiring (same as on donor machine). I don't know where I need to check continuity on the switch, but don't think that is the problem, its from a working unit. It is an exact match, and the switch clicks on and off when I move the lockbar by hand. I have had problems before with lockbar solenoid and replaced two, this one is operating as it should. How can it go out of service and have no error message?
buyer214
That's the real question, everything seems ok, close the door it goes out of service, open the door, no error message. What can cause out of service without an error message? It goes direct to *service menu*
buyer214
I replaced the logic board, works fine now!!! Thank you for all the input!
