JVOrlando
I just recently upgraded to a DN 5591 and I am having a difficult time figuring out the shim requirements. I have: 80181738011 What are these shims good for? 80181281021 "B" What are these shims good for? 80181269001 "A" Good for 20oz bottles? Like Gatorades or soda bottles? 80181739011 Good for red bulls? What else? My top row will be 16.9 oz zephyrhills 2nd row will be gatorade 3rd row gatorade 4th red bull and monsters bottom row 12 oz cans of soda What shims should I use for the water, gatorade, monsters, can of soda? Refreshments Made Easy
Inside the top back wall of the dn5591 you should you find instructions of which shim to use depending on which beverage you plan to sell.
AZVendor
The top p/n is for small, tall products a bit larger than Red Bull. The A and B shims are for use with some bottled sodas but it varies with bottle design. The last p/n is for Red Bull and maybe AMP or another 8.4 oz product. For your top row you'll need 16 oz bottle shims, for Gatorade 20 oz you'll need no shims, Red Bull requires the Red Bull shim and some rail spacers, Monster, all 16 oz cans and all 12 oz cans require a can shim. I can send you the required shims if you need them. You can email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom.

Just make sure you check on that machine often due to items getting jammed and/or stuck on the glass, especially the waters and gatorade. I made a pack with an employee, to call me immediately if he sees an item, I give him soda for the call. Also I took out all those plastic things that slow down the drink just before the vend because they got stuck there often. Those are some things I come across with the dn5591's I have on location. BTW What parts are you looking for? I have a 2145 I keep for parts and I also have a 5591 that the display just went out. Let me know. Where are you located? AZVendor
I have all the parts you might need for this. Just email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom. Make sure you use your vend sensors properly to eliminate lost money due to jammed products and you'll have happy customers.

AZVendor
They are the sensors that detect that a product has fallen into the delivery bin. They serve two purposes, to warn a customer of a product left in the bin so another isn't dropped on top of it ("Remove product" message) and to give the customer a way to make another selection or get money back if a product won't vend. The vend sensor must be present and working, turned on in the programming and then the Retry Limit must be set.
JVOrlando
I think I found it. Setup mode, 8 "drop sensor enabled/disabled". And, setup mode 2, 2 "set retry limit". Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
JVOrlando
What does one do if they don't know the password? How can I get a new password? I feel like I just opened a can of worms. Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk
AZVendor
The factory default password is 0000. If you try to change it you have to remember what it is or you're screwed. If 0000 doesn't work for you then the only recourse is to try to default the board back to factory specs. I believe you can do that on this machine by turning the machine off, removing the battery, waiting a few minutes and then turning the machine back on. If you find that the machine has lost all of it's programming then you can reinstall the battery and see if the password is also back to 0000. If it is then you need to reprogram everything in the machine starting from scratch. There is also a factory default menu item but it won't change the password and you might not be able to get to it anyway without the password. Refreshments Made Easy
Thanks AZ, I learned something new again. Multi-vend...how do you do it on the 5591?
AZVendor
I just realized that the Master Reset in the programming will actually reset the password to 0000 so you should not need to pull the battery, though that might do it too. There is no multi-vend option in the 55xx software. I assume by asking that you mean the ability to use left over credit from a previous vend to make another purchase. That feature is not available, change is automagically returned after a successful vend.
