Larman
I went to place a machine and noticed in the corner there was a 4 head 25 cent beaver sitting there. I asked to owner about it and he said it has been there for years and they never have come to service it. I called the number on the machine and spoke to the owner. He said he no longer wanted the machine and I offered him $100 he countered with $150. I do not have any beavers is this a good deal?
T BIRD
It was a rack with four heads on it? If they are in good shape its a good deal IMO. Beavers are very expensive. Very!

Bravo Duck
When I first started vending I bought one or two machines from many different manufacturers to check differences in quality, servecability, functionality and durability. You can always sell them on Craighlist when you're done. If you've never owned a Beaver then its fun to buy one and play with it for awhile but after you've done your research then you probably want to decide on the front line machines that you want to grow your business with. Every thing is easier with fewer brands/types of machines in your route. Just because something is a good deal doesn't necessarily mean you should buy it. It needs to fit your business needs. When you buy machines one or two at a time then keys become a pain in the butt.
dperry
I have this one location that I've had for more than a year now. When I went to first place the machine, they had another vendor's machine stowed away in the back hall because it was empty and the guy never came to service it. More than a year later it was still there. I offered to buy it off them for $10 and they took the deal. It was plastic and I believe it was an ashland. The paper thin plastic globe was broken on some corners, and I knew it wasn't usable. I just wanted it for the metal pipe stand. $10 for the stand was a good deal. I tried to sell the machine on ebay for $0.99 but it didn't sell. Go figure!
