AP 7600 LIGHTS:

Can you just cut the molex connector off and splice a led strip to replace the light fixture and attach to cabinet? Thats the way light fixtures are done on cranes.

Lowes has a lot of different light fixtures and strips that would work.

Also is there a function in the programming to keep the display lit so customers think the machine is on. It comes on when you put money in it.

Display is only on when money is inserted unless you up date board to UCB from VE or InOne. I buy LED's from 1000bulbs.com. They are about $20 and are wired direct. Remove ballast. Then wire one end of fixture to 110volt from where ballast plugs in benneth. You can use existing wires to perform this. These are very white and bright. Look good and last a long time.

I used an under cabinet 110V LED from Home Depot on my 7600 for $29.00. It has 3 selections for dim, bright or off built into it. Both have a nice looking white light. I cut off a few inches of wire at the molex just to have the option to unplug it if I ever wanted to.

I never payed much attention to the inside of the machine. There is a socket to plug the transformer in?

No

I add my own inside machine, by using a six outlet power strip.

I do all my machines like this and never had a problem the led string lights.

Ok. Sorry for sounding dumb but how would I go about installing the power strip if there is nowhere to plug it into?

No, your not sounding dumb.

I'm no highly paid electrician lol!

I did this to all my AP machines, just remember your responsible for any changes made to your machines!

I had only one location where the safety man question my heavy-duty extension cord I used on my AP 6600 with built in chiller.

If you want I can pm you how I set up my machines with led lights.

Ok so just cut the wires and splice… Thats what I thought but just checking.

How did you mount it to the top ? Stick it or drill holes and bolt it ?

Thanks,

Fred

Correct. There's only 2 wires to spice, you can't do it wrong. I believe that's what Cajun is trying to explain as well. The only difference is he's using a transformer since his lighting is 12 volt. The wiring in a florescent ballast is 110V.

I mounted mine with 2 sided tape the length of the light bar.. Plenty of stretngth for this lighting.

Grimsweeper is correct on it being 110 volt!

Be safety conscious!

Always unplug machine, turn off breaker for machine.

I had to do a JSA at one location before I was allowed to work on my machine!

Crazy!

Yes that should be fine. I use the 24" basic LED bar for 7600s and the 18" basic LED bar for the 6600s. Both from Lows. But after seeing the prices someone posted from 1000bulbs.com I'm definitely going to look into those.
