Apple Leisure
Hello. The other day it was pointed out to me that the entire top shelf was inactive; in other words each selection would indicate 'make another selection' when selected. I know these machines can sometimes 'forget' the price, all you do is set it again, which I did, but the A1 selection won't take. I actually had some trouble with A3 and A7 the other day too; I removed the shelf, didn't see anything amiss, replaced the shelf, continued having this problem but eventually got all four selections priced. That was the other day. Today A3, A5 and A7 are all fine but after many attempts at pricing A1 it still won't take. Any ideas?
AZVendor
You need to again pull that shelf out and inspect it for broken or missing rollers and roller nuts that are loose because this can cause pin alignment problems. You then need to look at the rear shelf pins and the socket that they slide into. Make sure all the pins protrude from the shelf the same distance. If one pin is pushed in deeper then it's not making a good connection. Look at the female socket on the back wall and make sure that you see two shiny contacts inside EVERY slot in the connector. If one slot does not have two shiny metal contacts inside it then that slot's connector is pushed out the back of the casing and not making contact with the shelf pin. Neither problem is reversible so you'll need to either move the affected wire(s) to unused pins or replace the cabinet back harness. If all looks good then you can put a SLIGHT bend to each pin on the shelf so that they might make better contact when they slide into the rear connector. Don't bend them much at all; you shouldn't really be able to detect the bend. If you bend too much you risk damaging the pin or the socket as I described above. If you need any parts you can email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom.
