strange candy?

I went to an upscale nail salon last night and discovered something very strange.    They called the night before and said it was empty.     I am a newbie by the way.     Someone had put candy in the box.    I pride myself on only giving the best candy,(reeses,mini bars, york mints, and blow pops).    They had put tootsie rolls and smarties and dum-dums in my box.      There was about $33 in there, so I am not unhappy with the money, but I want people to know that I use high quality candy.     My daughter theorized that someone emptied out their halloween candy.  lol   I think she might be right.   Has anybody else ever had this occur???     Mint boxes are profitable,  but you run into the strangest situations.

I take it after your box emptied out someone took it upon themselves to put some type of product back in the box so he could continue to make money. If that's the case they were doing you a favor cause cheap candy is better than nothing. I have a location that put peppermints in mine once it emptied out.

I've seen this happen at the bank I use. Some local guy has boxes there with fun-size candy bars in them, but when he runs out (I assume he must run them once a month) the bank (again, I'm assuming it's them) will put peppermints or tootsie rolls in, which is actually really nice of them.

 

Might want to adjust your service cycle on that one, especially if you might be selling out early! That's a good problem to have!

That's happened to me several times. It may be the manager. If I see it I will put them back in the box on top of my mints. I've gotten some that I didn't notice till I got home to count. Then I feel bad, like I stole from them.
