Vendors Exchange Board in a AP7000

So we have this 7000 in an account and I put the Vendors board in and is now MDB mech and validator. Problem we are experiencing a few months after doing this is sometimes the shelves are saying item not available when trying to buy items. Sometimes it's 1 motor sometimes it's the whole shelf. Simply powering it off and then back on fixes it. Now the gum/mint shelf is still saying that message for all 5 of those selections. The wires all look good and have tried powering it off and back on but still can't get them to vend. We had no issues before the board change that we are aware of. Also had a couple bill jams within the last few months on the new MEI validator. Weird how the old stuff was performing better than the new stuff. Is there something I should be checking or looking for? Thanks

As with any snack giving those messages check that your shelf rollers are tightly secured and in good condition. If they are loose or damaged they can cause misalignment between the shelf pins and the cabinet connector. Misaligned pins can damage the pins or the cabinet connector. Make sure all pins are the same length and that each slot in the cabinet connector has 2 shiny spots inside it. If one pin is shorter or you don't see 2 shiny spots in a slot then that's where the damage is and requires moving the shelf wires to another unused pair. If there's no damage and the rollers are ok then you can SLIGHTLY tweak the pins on that shelf to get a better connection.

Are the thumb lever you push to release the shelf’s missing?

Since this is a problem we never see with AP 7000s. What is new or different Is the harness getting pinched or stretched by the new door?

Yeah it's frustrating for sure. The tracks, rollers and thumb releases are all fine. Connectors seemed fine but will take an even closer look. Is contact cleaner in the aerosol cans worth using on the male and female pins? Thanks

Only spray that XXxx on the parts you want to plan on replacing. I say all that stuff does is turn things into a gummy mass that someone will need to do disassemble and clean bit by bit sooner or later.
