AP Snackshop 112 pricing question.

Recommended Posts

This is a follow up to a question I posted a few weeks ago.  At the time I was having difficulty pricing selections A1 and A3.  I received some good advice here but didn't end up needing it as the next time I serviced the machine I tried pricing those selections one more time and they took, no problem.  However yesterday I discovered that quite a few of the other selections had 'forgotten' their price including B1, B3, D1, D2 and several others.  I was able to set the prices for most of them but currently B3, D5 and F7 prices cannot be set after trying many times.  I don't think it's a shelf connection as the problem is so widespread.  Can it possibly be the mech?  It's 24 volt by the way, not MDB if that makes a difference.  Maybe the control board?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do all buttons on your keypad result in a response or are any not responding?  If not then you need a new keypad.  If all keys do respond and the display reflects the price changes you're making but the board won't save them then either the board doesn't see valid motors for those selections (shelf connector or cabinet harness issue) or you have a bad logic board.  If this is intermittent and sometimes you can price things and sometimes not then I'd say it's the board.

Let me know if you need any parts for it.  rbepic4gatgmaildotcom

If it's a Coinco changer, replace it. There was a strange communication glitch that rarely happened, but was unique to Coinco. When present, the 1 thru 4 buttons wouldn't work. Replace with another 15 pin 24 volt or 12 pin 110 volt changer.

Thanks you guys.  AZ, do you also think it might be the battery on the board?  The keypad seems fine, all selection buttons 'beep' during price setting.  And Cajun, thank you, I forgot to mention that I did remove and replace all connections on the board, even sprayed condensed air on each one before replacing.  It does seem intermittent; perhaps I'll do a motor test on those selections and see what happens.

The only thing that battery does is keep the clock running when there is no power. All of the programming was written to RAM.
