allprovending
What should the temp be a cold food machine? I had it running for a few hours and if was a little cold but I'm pretty sure it should be a lot colder. I am going to put a temp gauge in it tomorrow to see what the temp. actually is? If its not cooling as cold as it suppose to what do you guys think the issue might be?
Sparta_Automation
Should be below 40 degrees I believe. I have a National 431 that runs at 37. Travis

AZVendor
The Rowe food machines should turn on at 40-42 and off at 35-36. They should also pull down to temperature in 1 hour or less so if yours doesn't it probably need to be recharged.

allprovending
I took the temp gauge from my refrigerator and placed it in the vendor and it reads 30-31 degrees. Is that ok or is there a way to adjust the temp?

AZVendor
There is no temperature adjustment on that machine. If it gets too cold and freezes products then you have to replace the temperature probe.
allprovending
Is it easy to replace the temperature probe? do you have one in stock?
AZVendor
Yes and yes. I can send one to you. It is located on the bottom of the left light panel (when the door is open) and it just plugs in at that location. It is the silver device in a plastic clamp. Walta
In your first post it sounded like the machine was to warm, now you say it is to cold. Is there ice in the machine? I would test the gage you got from your refrigerator before you start changing parts. To test mine I mix crushed ice with water and form a slurry the thermometer should read 32. The 648 will display it temperature if you push the buttons on the front of the machine. 1 Close the door to the machine. 2 Press the blank key. 3 Release the blank key. 4 Immediately press the F key The display should change the show the temperature. If not repeat. The timing is a little tricky but you will get it after a few tries. Do not change the sensor if the display matches the reading of a calibrated thermometer. If the reading displayed is less than 32 it is likely a relay is sticking on or someone had bypassed it. Walta
allprovending
Walta....I had thought it wasn't cooling because when I opened the door it just didn't feel cold so I put the thermometer from my refrigerator in it and got the reading of 31 or so. I plugged it back in and left it for an hour and checked the temp was at 37, an hour after that its at 38 so I guess its all good. AZ Vendor.....hopefully you read this before you send out the temperature probe but it seems like I don't need it. Thanks anyways.
