AZVendor
Since the machine is 3 cans deep then when you say the 4th can gets stuck and causes a sold out message then that means the can is jamming the column. This also means it's caused by a front can jamming and that can be either from the right or left side of the column. I would check to see if your jam is caused by having an incorrect shim on one side of the column. This could either be an extra shim or a shim thicker than the ones on the other side of the column. If the shims don't allow the can to drop it can jam the column. Now if you have identical shims on each side of the column then you could have a motor that has skipped a tooth in the gearbox and is out of time just enough to cause this issue. That would require a new motor. Email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom if you need any parts for it.
JVOrlando
Thank you AZ. I will look into both of these this weekend. I have two manuals. Dixie-Narco World Wide Service Manual Series 90 Single Price Venders and Dixie-Narco Series II Electronic Venders, both didn't help my situation unless I missed something. lacanteen
My best advice is to compare the column to one that is working. Something is slightly different: Motor, shim placement, oscillator bent/twisted. There was once a run of T-Models where the stack got caught up on the sold out paddle when it raises during transition to the next 3 cans. My money is on the motor or oscillator. CajunCandy
After replacing motor and oscillator on my 501T for the same thing it turned out the sold out switch was bad or ornery! After replacing switch it worked just fine even with the original motor and oscillator. Just my experience with a 501T. cajun
JVOrlando
I checked the shims and they're identical. Motor, hmmmm. This is what it looks like when it reads "Sold out" Once I open the door, took the pictures and closed the door. The can dropped out.
AZVendor
I think you need new motor switches on any columns that do that. You have single motor switches which means you have an SIID board. The switches are rated at 120vac but the board feeds only 5vdc through the switches. Due to corrosion and normal arcing of the switch contacts they build up resistance that the 5v can't get through and the board then doesn't see whether the motor is at home or not. When you close the door the board then tries to home any motor it thinks aren't at home and that is why you get a can dropping out. Email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom if you need switches sent out.
