Javaman
I have a vendo 10 selection pop machine that stopped working,,,no display lit up? I checked two fuses near the power switch on the bottom- with door open- and they appeared ok but there is no power to the machine?I assume the power supply could be done? I don't know where to,start troubleshooting. Any suggestions. I believe the model is 511. Thanks, Javaman
lacanteen
Is there power anywhere? Refrigeration, evap fan? (blows the cold air inside the cabinet). If no, follow your power cord from the wall, and (duh, oh yes) check the wall outlet.
AZVendor
If you do have power to the compressor and even the lights then you could have a bad power transformer or a wire has come off of yours. Ohm out the fuses before you assume they are good. If you need a transformer for it you can email be at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom.

AZVendor
Pull the power panel off the machine (unplugged of course) and carefully pull it away a bit. Check that there are two wires on the 'line in' 110v side of the transformer and two wires on the output 24v side. If they are all connected to the transformer then plug the machine in and check for 24vac out of the transformer. If it's zero then check that you have 110v in to the transformer. If you're missing the 110v then you could have a bad power cord or a dead outlet.
rmorris1953
I have had the power switch burn up on the 511. It powers the lights and control board but not the compressor or evaporator fans. If compressor and evaporator fans are running then this switch could be defective. Spades on transformer are notorious for coming loose.
Javaman
Nothing is being powered on the machine and the power is on at the wall outlet. Fuses are good as i ohmed them out and all connections are secure on the power panel.
AZVendor
Did you test for proper voltages in and out of the transformer and in and out of the power switch?
rmorris1953
Power cord has to be bad. If the cord has a gfi then it is bad. You can get a gfi at Lowes that can be installed on cord for $17.

Javaman
I will check the voltages in/out of transformer and report, the power cord doesnt have a GFI.
Javaman
Hi all, Yes indeed the power cord was bad! Is there a proper cord to replace? Where can I order and what can i expect to pay for one with a GFI attached? Thanks, Javaman
AZVendor
I would not mess with a gfi cord as they can become very problematic especially on older compressors that draw a lot of current at start up. That would just create nuisance trips. If you'll email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom I can send you a new soda machine power cord that you can splice into your machine.
