guile
(climbs up on soapbox) For the past few months, I have had the great pleasure of meeting and conversing with a lot of terrific people by way of this forum. I have learned a LOT about Vending and made quite a few friends along the way. There is nothing better then discussing your passion with likeminded people! There are some REALLY knowledgable people on this forum and I consider myself very fortunate to have found this site. I think I can honestly say Vendiscuss has saved me hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars I would have spent unnecessarily (not to mention savings in time) and for that, I want to truly thank Steve.. As this forum continues to grow, I think a LOT of people don't realize the cost (both in $ and time) of running a forum such as Vendiscuss. I know there are a few people on Vendiscuss who understand this and do contribute (monetarily and/or their time) to keeping this site running so we can continue to ALL reap the benefits. A site like this could EASILY be a paid site but Steve generously keeps it free. For that reason, I am asking that we ALL try to show our support by way of donation. Whether it's $5, $50 or $500, it will help to keep this site running which will in turn help us (all) continue to grow ourselves and our businesses. Maybe Steve can post a paypal link or another method for donations. g
G-man422
Here is the link to donate Guile. You make some great points. The E-books alone in the "Plus" section are priceless. http://www.vendiscuss.com/donate/donate.html

Beer980
I had been thinking of this lately and was going to suggest a donation drive in a couple of months. To help make it more worth the while I thought that for every $5 or $10 you kicked in you would get a number for a drawing. We could give away a gift card to Sam's or Cosco as a prize. Perhaps we could get a discount from a locator to use in the donation drive as another prize. I was still working on the details but now you have brought it up so this is what I had so far. I'm really surprised (and dissapointed) this thread hasn't gained more traction. It costs money to keep this site running. If you are a regular user of the site and haven't yet made a contribution (in the form of a small $ donation), please do so. I know for a fact it costs a LOT of money to keep this site running! I don't think $5 or $10 is going to break anybody. Just think about all the money you have saved by using this valuable resource. Beer- Let's work to put something together. Maybe that's the incentive needed. g
that1dude
I agree with you guile! We should all be grateful for this awesome site that far surpasses any I have come across for vending tips, tricks, and general discussions. As soon as I figure out how much I can donate, I'm going to click on that link above and donate!
Beer980
I will be glad to work on some details with you guile. It may be another week before I can get some time to do it as everything is piling up right now. With my full time job, part time vending, and two other part time ventures I am getting involved with it is getting busy here. I am going to need to reorganize everthing soon to make things go better. I need to service the route this week and a couple other things then I will be able to give it a shot. timberframe50
guile, thanks for starting this thread. I would have never thought about it if someone had not mentioned it. I think we all need to support each other in this and this web site. I have gain knowledge about vending that I thought I ever wanted to know. I'm gratful that I found this site before I sunk $10,000 in Buzz Bites. I know a lot of people don't like them but I believe their is a market for this type of product. Other manufactures are starting to offer engery chews. Sorry I'm off the subject.
