nrod7
I Bought a used DN 276 E. I was told that 2 columns were not working. I found that the selection button bar was broken. The bar was a quick fix. I was going to test vend the motors. When I noticed that the column # 1 was not in the homing position. I release the brake and backed the cam back into a homing (groove) position. I thought to myself "easy fix". But when I depressed the door button, the column # 1 motor began to turn by passing homing positions ( grooves) an finally resting high on the cam. What do I need to check? nrod7
Chard
Sounds like a bad switch on the vend motor. It's the little switch with a lever that rides on the cam. Sometimes they wear out or become gummed up. Replacement is pretty straight forward. Unscrew the switch and screw the new one in. You could try swapping that switch with the motor next to it and see if the problem transfers with it. If so you can isolate the switch. It could also be the brake on the vend motor is gummed up. If so, you'd have to ungum it or replace the motor assembly.

nrod7
Following up on the checking the vend motor switch. After changing and switching the vend motor switch off another working vend motor, I was still getting the same action from column one. Each time I depressed the door switch the vend motor would rotate and stop high on the cam. I thought about check the contacts. What I found was the female connector from the wiring harness to the vend motor switch had become brittle over time and was only half a connector. Making contact but not like a "new" female connector is meant to make contact. Problem solved. I was told two of the columns were not working from the seller. One was fixed. The second was that the 12 oz can shim was not set correctly (flush and tight) consequently the shim was jammed between the side wall and the oscillator. Problem solved. Only through the sound friendly advice of TVF and its members have I attempted working on my own equipment. I am confident that I will receive guidance whenever I ask in this community. Thank you very much! Respectfully, nrod7 nrod7
