Jerronimo
I'm having issues with people using my snack machine "USI 3090" for just change without purchasing. How can I set this up so that people can't get change out of my machine without making a purchase
AZVendor
There is no 3090 model number. Do you mean a 3091? If it's a 3091 then you need to go into the service mode and turn force vend on. That is by pressing select button 3 and A to see "Force Vend = ON" on your display. Then exit the service mode and see if the machine works the way you want it to. Southeast Treats
Avoid the complaints to follow, and post a small sign "machine does not return change without purchase" when you set to forced vend.... they may ignore it but they can't say "well you should have..." vendbend
so that is the purpose of force vend that is interesting to know because I did not know what that meant I also have a problem with people using my machines to get change for other machines that is a whole lot of quarters while I was filling the quarters again a guy laughed and said "I have been using that machine for change all weekend"
AZVendor
That's why force vend was created. The drawback to using it is that then people who simply change their mind and want their money back can't get it and have to buy something. The machine should allow the return of any money inserted until the lowest vend price is met, then force vend kicks in and no refunds are allowed and a purchase must be made to clear the credit. This is the way all single price soda machines work. It's also called Escrow to Price which means until the lowest vend price is met (or the single price machine price is met) then you can still get your money back.
